Asheville Butterfly TrailMr. Bailey was born on Long Island, NY, and was a son of the late Norman Douglas and Margaret
Calloway Bailey, Sr. He was an auto body repairman.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret Summey Bailey; a daughter, Trula Sibbach of Candler; a son, Norman Douglas Bailey, III of Candler; four sisters, Virginia Johnson and Peggy Allison of Candler, Judy Bryson of Tacoma WA, and Lena Metcalf of Asheville; three brothers, Albert Bailey of Candler, Larry Bailey of Leicester, and Don Bailey of Chicago, IL; and
four grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at
2:00 pm Thursday in the Patton Avenue chapel of Groce Funeral Home with the Rev. Milton Lewis
officiating. Entombment will be in Pisgah View Mausoleum.
His family will receive friends from 7 - 8:30 pm Wednesday at the funeral home.
