Olive Jean Walker

A former resident of Pisgah Highway in Candler, she was the daughter of the late Fredrick Thomas Walldorf and Cora Antoinette Case Bonnington. She was also preceded in death by a son, Charles T. Walker and a granddaughter, Carmella Westberry.

She is survived by a son, John A. Walker and his wife Wendy of Fairview; four grandchildren, Scott Walker of Lancaster, SC, Gerald Walker of Jacksonville, Fla., David Walker and Lisa Fite of Fairview and seven great-grandchildren. The family would like to express their appreciation to St. Joseph’s Hospital and to the Blue Ridge Health Care Center.

Private graveside services will be held Tuesday at Ashelawn Gardens of Memory.

Her family will receive friends from 7 until 8 pm Monday at Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian on Long Shoals Road.
