Orient Fox Roudané, beloved wife of the late Charles Roudané, died October 29, 2011. Born in New Orleans, Louisiana, daughter of Harry and Isabel Peters Fox, she also lived with her husband Charles and children in Dayton, Ohio, Glen Ellyn, Illinois, and Schooley's Mountain, New Jersey, before moving to Asheville in 1987 when Charles moved his headquarters and main plant of Resistoflex, Incorporated to Marion, North Carolina. Orient attended Sophie Newcomb College, Tulane University. She was active all her life in church, school, hospital, and community volunteer activities. She considered her true calling to be a wife and mother. Orient was also President of Asheville Strategic Management Corporation, an international consulting group based in Chicago, which she co-founded. Orient and Charlie had long, eventful lives, and counted themselves the most blest people on earth. She is survived by her sons Mark and his wife Barbara, and their daughters Genevieve and Sophia, who live in Saint Paul, Minnesota and Matthew and his wife Susan, and their son Nickolas, of Atlanta, Georgia. Also surviving are her brother James Fox, raised by Orient and Charles as their son, and his wife Mary, and their children Caroline, Alexis and Robert, and Bob's wife Natalie and their sons Duncan and Lachlan, who live in Chicago, Illinois. Service scheduled at Pulliam Chapel, Givens Estates on Saturday, November 5 at 10:30 AM. Interment at Riverside Cemetery will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Givens Estates Assistance Fund, 2360 Sweeten Creek Road, Asheville, NC 28803 or to CarePartners Hospice, PO Box 25338, Asheville, NC 28813. Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian is assiting the family.
