Patricia Ann Reece

Patricia Ann Penland Reece, 70, died Sunday, November 30, 2014, at the John F. Keever, Jr., Hospice Solace Center. Mrs. Reece was a life long resident of Asheville and was a daughter of the late Ralph Depree and Gussie Payne Penland. She worked as a beautician for a number of years before moving into the hospitality industry in executive housekeeping capacity. Above all, however, Mrs. Reece was family oriented with her primary focus on her sons and grandchildren, who were her pride and joy. She will be remembered for her smile and sense of humor. Her family include her three sons, Christopher Andy Reece, Matthew Jack Reece, and Jamie Charles Reece and wife, Amy; grandchildren, Gabriel Reece, Ariel Reece, Philicia Ingle, Ariana Reece and Jaycee Reece; sister, Marian Reynolds and husband, William; brother, Gary "Pete" Penland and wife, Dotsy; and sister-in-law, Ruth Penland. A celebration of her life will be at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 6, at Groce Funeral Home on Patton Avenue, with opportunity to share stories and remembrances.
