Paul Howard Smith, Sr.

Paul Howard Smith Sr., 83, passed away Tues, July 29, in Asheville, North Carolina, after a sudden illness. Dr. Smith was a Professor of Microbiology at the University of Florida from 1960 to 1990. Paul was preceded in death by his wife Dorothy in 1996. He is survived by his daughter Cynthia McKee, of Asheville NC, his son, Paul Smith of Camphill Pa., and five grandsons, Sean and David McKee, and Trey, Zachary, and Ethan Smith. Paul was happy, healthy, and independent until he suffered a stroke four days prior to his death. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He will be greatly missed. A service will not be held.
