Pauline Clark McCarson

Pauline Clark McCarson, 98, of Candler, died on Friday, March 17, 2017, at the WNC Baptist Retirement Home. A Buncombe Co. native, Pauline was a daughter of the late Oscar and Jessie Green Clark. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Carl McCarson; daughter, Judy Stamey; sisters, Ruby and Juanita; brothers, Louis, Low, and Lawrence; granddaughter, Paula; and great-grandsons, Jacob and Tommy. Mrs. McCarson is survived by her daughters, Norma Jean Marlor, Kay Ellen Coder, and Janice Blanche Cooper; son, Ronnie McCarson; 16 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren, and 20 great-great-grandchildren. The funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday at Georgetown Baptist Church with the Revs. David Rogers and Sam Cole officiating. Interment will follow at Pisgah United Methodist Church Cemetery. Her family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Monday evening at Groce Funeral Home on Patton Ave.
