Pauline Rebekah Earwood Stines, 99, passed away Thursday, October 13, 2011 at Universal Health Care in Fletcher.
Mrs. Stines was born in Buncombe County to the late Charles Calvin Earwood and Charlotte Hannah Todd Earwood. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Wres E. Stines; a daughter, Jeannette Cawthorne; three brothers, Chester, Bob and Alvin Earwood; one sister, Louise Taylor and two grandsons.
Mrs. Stines is survived by a son, Bill Stines and his wife, Norma of Riverside, CA; two daughters, Wilma Allison of Mt. Juliet, TN and Marjorie Allen of Fairview; twelve grandchildren and several great and great great grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 19, 2011 at 3:00 pm in the chapel of Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian with Reverend Todd Royal officiating. Burial will follow at Cane Creek Cemetery in Fairview.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Wednesday.
