Peggy Thomas Masters, of Candler, died Tuesday, June 20, 2023, at the Ascension Sacred Heart Bay at Panama City Beach, Florida. Peggy was born in Buncombe County and was a daughter of the late Paul and Evagene Hyatt Thomas. She was a graduate of Weaverville High School. She retired from Bussmann Fuse.

She was predeceased by her husband William Howell Masters, a son Bill Masters, Jr., a granddaughter Heather Lawson, and a great-grandson, Nathaniel. She is survived; two daughters, Lorraine Isaacs and husband, Ricky, and Doris Hudson; one son, Paul Masters; grandchildren, Steven Isaacs, Ben Isaacs, William Masters III, Melissa Hunt, Dawn Crouch and Tommy Masters; and 12 great-grandchildren; and a daughter-in-law Helen Masters.

A gathering of friends and family at Groce Funeral Home on Patton Avenue will be held on Wednesday, July 12, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.

A graveside service at the Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery will be held on Thursday, July 13 at 2:00 p.m., with the Rev. Darlene Stailey officiating.
