Randy William Conner

Randy Conner, 42, of Fairview, passed away during the early morning hours on Friday, October 14, surrounded by his loving family after a courageous battle with cancer for 3 months. Randy was preceded in death by two brothers, Tim and Dwayne of Fairview, his paternal grandparents, Luther and Grady Conner of Fairview and his maternal grandparents, Mitchell and Vera Morris of Pisgah Forest, NC. He was the son of William (Bill) and Patsy (Pat) Conner of Fairview and is also survived by his wife, Melissa McMahan Conner and their unborn son expected in January 2012; two sons, Zachary and Nathan Conner of Black Mountain; three daughters, Hannah Allegra and her husband, Brett, of Fairview, Tiffany Conner of Arden and Kayleigh Taylor of the home; two grandsons, Jordan and Graham Allegra of Fairview. Also surviving is a special friend of the family, Ashley Riddle of Arden, numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. We want to thank Becky McIntosh, cousin, for all her love and support thru the final hours. We could not have made it without her. Randy was formerly employed by Diamond Janitorial Services and Bradburn Window Services. He had a special interest in gardening, fishing and Nascar. Randy will be missed by so many who loved him dearly. The family will have a gathering of friends from 3:00 until 5:00 pm Monday at Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian.
