Reba Lillie Brown Hensley, 91, of 194 Cedar Hill Road, Asheville, died Sunday, August 26, 2007, at Aston Park Health Care Center.
Mrs. Hensley was born in Coalfield, TN, and was a daughter of the late Dave and Laura J. Liles Brown. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Arnie G. Hensley, Sr., who died in 1984, by sons, Arnie G. Hensley, Jr. and Bobby David Hensley, three sisters and four brothers.
Mrs. Hensley was formerly active with the West Asheville Senior Citizens Group and she was a member of Aaron Baptist Church.
She is survived by a daughter, Dorothy Dover of Asheville, six grandchildren, Glenn Hensley, Ray Hensley, Cathy Parker, Teresa Pendergrass, Ricky Hensley and Roger Hensley; thirteen great-grandchildren, Beth, Crystal, Jennifer, Philip, Eric, Lena, Chris, Jason, Marissa, Carissa, Whitney, Wyatt and Steven; and nine great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at Aaron Baptist Church with the Rev. F. Daniel Stephenson officiating. Interment will follow at Pisgah View Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 7:00 – 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at Groce Funeral Home on Patton Avenue.
