Reba Lefevers Starnes

Reba Lefevers Cartwright Starnes, 97, of 185 Ferry Rd., Asheville, died Saturday, January 5, 2008, at Aston Park Health Care Center. Mrs. Starnes was born in Cosby, TN, but lived most of her life in Buncombe Co. She was a daughter of the late William and Lydia Lefevers. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Charles, who died in 1988, two sons, Tom and Bill Cartwright, and two brothers, Creed Lefevers, and William Lefevers, Jr. Mrs. Starnes was a member of West Asheville Presbyterian Church. She is survived by her sons, John Starnes and wife Janice, of Asheville, and Dan Starnes and wife Karen, of Lake Worth, FL; daughters-in-law, Irene Cartwright, of Myrtle Beach, SC, and Janet Cartwright, of Leicester; 12 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, and 12 great-great-grandchildren. A graveside service will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday at Green Hills Cemetery with the Rev. Darryl Searcy officiating.
