Asheville – Reba Rogers Williams, 79, died Friday, April 29, 2005.
A native of Rosman, she was the daughter of the late James Paul Rogers, Sr. and Dovie Jane Patterson Rogers and wife of the late Ralph Williams, who died in 1994.
She was a member of the Boones Creek Baptist Church in Salem S.C. and a former member of the First United Methodist Church of Brevard. She was a retired employee of the Olin Corp. in Brevard.
Mrs. Williams is survived by two daughters, Peggy Daniels and her husband, Rick, of Asheville and Jan Hollars of Lakeland, Fla.; a son, Ted Williams, and his wife, Diane, of Hendersonville and eight grandchildren. Also surviving are five sisters, Margaret Crawford of Winlock, Wash., Nell Green of Palatine, Ill., Laura Davenport of Wilkesboro, N.C., Marilyn Whitmire of Rosman, N.C. and Betty O’Toole of Alexandria, Va.; and two brothers, James Paul Rogers, Jr. of Pisgah Forest, N.C. and Doug Rogers of Brevard. She was preceded in death by two infant siblings, Doyle and Lillian Rogers and by two sisters, Myrtle Schoening, formerly of Foristell, Mo., and Edna Bishop, formerly of Brevard.
A funeral service will be held at 11 am Monday in the chapel of Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian conducted by the Rev. Douglas Tankersley and by her son, Ted Williams. Interment will follow in Pisgah Gardens in Brevard. Her family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service on Monday at the funeral home.

Although the years have distanted our families, I still carry warm memories of Aunt Reba and Uncle Ralph, their love, generosity and kindness to my family will never be forgotten. My prayers are with you all.
