Rebecca Alene Whitaker

Rebecca Alene Whitaker, 83, of Weaverville, died on Sunday, July 11, 2010, at the Brian Center. A native of Buncombe Co., Ms. Whitaker was a daughter of the late Leonard W. and Mary Dotson Whitaker. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Martha Davis. She is survived by her brother, Henson Whitaker and wife Jean, of Mars Hill; one nephew, one niece, and two great-nieces. A private service will be held at a later date. Groce Funeral Home on Patton Ave. is assisting her family.
