Fairview – Rev. Allison Wylie Drake, 91, of Fairview, NC, died Saturday, March 16, 2013.
Rev. Drake was born in Morgantown, WV and graduated from Ohio University in Athens, OH. After attending Ernest Holmes School of Ministry, she became minister of the Laguna Hills, California Church of Religious Science. She came to Asheville in 1989 to assume the pulpit of the Asheville Church of Religious Science until she retired.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Arthur Drake and a grandson, James R. Fritsche. Surviving are her children, William A. Drake of Fairview and Lynn Faust of Shepardsville, KY; two granddaughters, Andrea Faust of Shepardsville and Lina Shutts of Dyersburg, TN and six great grandchildren.

My warmest thoughts to Allison and Bill’s family on the passing of Allison. I took many classes with her at the ACORS and she and Bill were so kind to me and my daughter Carly. Bill even used me as his model a few times, which was so much fun. She was my mom’s age and that generation of women were such strong personalities, as Allison was. Warmest wishes, Buffy Queen
