Richard Taylor Saville

Arden, NC – Richard Taylor Saville, of Inman, SC and Arden, NC, died Sunday, September 2, 2007 at the VA Medical Center. Mr. Saville was born in Martinsburg, West Virginia. He was predeceased by his parents, Frances Irene Hough and Woodrow Pearrell Saville. He was a veteran of the United States Navy where he served from 1963 to 1967 and fought in Vietnam. He was a government employee of Guam where he worked as a property manager. He was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Asheville, NC. Mr. Saville is survived by his wife, Mary Lou Saville; a daughter, Lisa Ann Ballejo of North Kingstown, Rhode Island; a son, Freddie Lewis Saville of Inman, SC; three sisters, Patricia Golliday, Jo Ann Cave and Frances “Sue” Myers, all of Martinsburg WV; a brother, Woodrow P. Saville, Jr. of Wilmington, NC; three grandchildren, Raven Branwen Saville, Jonathon Taylor Myers and Brenna Leann Myers and one great-grandchild, Branwen Saville and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, September 4, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Asheville with Pastor Chris Webb and Pastor Judson F. Merrell officiating. A funeral service will be held at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Martinsburg, WV at a later date. Interment will take place at Pleasant View Memory Garden in Martinsburg, WV. Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian in Arden, NC is assisting the family.
