Robert "Bobby" Dodd

Robert Ralph “Bobby” Dodd, 59, of Burnsville, died on Thursday, June 7, 2018, at the Memorial Campus of Mission Hospitals.
Mr. Dodd was a native of Asheville. For many years he owned tanning salons and more recently had worked at Ingles Markets, Spruce Pine, as their produce manager.
Mr. Dodd is survived by his wife Laura James Dodd; daughter, Charlsie Dodd Chandler (Ryan); son, Dustin James (Ashli); granddaughters, Annika and Gracelynn Chandler; and mother-in-law, Nancy James Taylor.
The graveside service for Mr. Dodd will be held at 3:30 p.m. on Monday at Old Bon-A-Venture Cemetery, Clyde.
His family will receive friends at Groce Funeral Home on Patton Ave. from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. prior to the service.
His family asks that memorials be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22478 Oklahoma City, OK 73123.

So sorry to hear about Bobby. Played a lot basketball, softball and tanned at Malibu Tan many times. Such a good man gone to soon. Prayers for all the family.
Laura, we are heart broken…please know you and all your family are in our thoughts and hearts. Bobby, such a joy to know, will be very missed, his smile and his easy laugh. We will miss him every time we pass one of the great rock walls that stand testament to his hard work.
