Robert Frank Tweed, 85, of Emma Rd., Asheville, died Wednesday, February 15, 2012, at Mission Hospital.
A native of Madison Co., he was a son of the late Bob and Paralee Tweed. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Ailene Frisbee Tweed, and by brothers Ray and Rombo Tweed.
Mr. Tweed was retired from First Union Bank. He was a member of Freedom Baptist Church.
He is survived by a daughter, Ann Redden and husband Randy; sons Theron Tweed and wife June, and J.C. Tweed and wife Sheila; nine grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday in the Patton Ave. chapel of Groce Funeral Home, with Chaplain Richard Baird officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
His family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

Dear Tweed Family; Sue and I were very sorry to hear about Frank’s passing. He and Dorothy were such a part of Bobby’s childhood. We have such good memories of them. Frank was always making us laugh and smile. May you feel the presence of Jesus as comfort at this time. God is Good.
