Robin Elizabeth Groce Fulk
November 27, 1968 ~ December 14, 2022
Born in:
Charlotte, NC
Resided in:
Winston-Salem, NC
Robin Groce Fulk passed away peacefully on December 14 at CarePartners Solace Center surrounded by her family.
Robin Elizabeth Groce Fulk was born November 27, 1968 in Charlotte, NC. She is the first child of Fred and Cindy and has two sisters, Lindsey Groce Whitlatch of Greensboro and Ginger Groce Monroe of Pinehurst.
Robin graduated from RJ Reynolds High School in 1987 and UNC Chapel Hill in 1991. She was a devoted Tar Heel her entire life. Robin had many passions and gifts. She was a talented photographer and artist and shepherded many little children through St. Paul’s Preschool and then later Ardmore Methodist as a teacher and director. Her family has heard from many children and their families who were blessed by Robin’s loving, committed guidance as a teacher and director.
Robin and her former husband, Chris, have one daughter, Annie Barger Fulk, 17. Robin’s greatest love and pride is her daughter Annie and she poured her heart into raising her. Annie carries on Robin’s beautiful artistic gifts in many ways and will continue to shine her light in this world.
Robin loved her nieces and nephews, Cate and Sam Whitlatch, daughter and son of Lindsey Whitlatch and Janie, Hunter and Charlie, children of Ginger and Edward Monroe. Her extended family of aunts, uncles and cousins have been a loving and constant comfort for the family.
Everyone who knew Robin was blessed by her engaging, accepting and deeply loving presence. To know her was to love her and we all crave more time with her.
Robin endured an admirable three plus year struggle with triple-negative breast cancer with an inspiring faith and strength. She taught us many lessons about life by the way she lived hers: love the people right in front of you, accept others with an open and loving heart, and know that truly, with the Lord holding us all, “every little thing is gonna be alright.”
The family would like to thank the nurses and staff of CarePartners Solace Center who offered comfort and care during a very difficult time.
At the request of the family, donations may be made to: A gofundme to help with the education for Robin’s daughter, Annie at https://gofund.me/44975297 or to UNC Health Foundation, 123 West Franklin St, Suite 510, Chapel Hill, NC 27516 (check made payable to Lineberger Cancer Center for Triple Negative Research Center).

Cindy and Fred, I am so very sorry you have to go through this – the death of an adult child. THe obituary in today’s paper was so well written and gave us the information we needed. I choose to give to the UNC Health Foundation for the Lineberger Cancer Center for Triple Negative Research Center. I will try to come for the service but will certainly stream it if not. Would love to hug you both – soon after all has died down. You have my thoughts and heartfelt prayers.

Cindy and Fred and family,
The service was beautiful – such a loving and impressive daughter – you were truly blessed as she was with you, her parents, daughter, sisters and family.
May time bring you acceptance and peace as you grieve her loss but celebrate her eternal life in God’s holy kingdom.
It was a beautiful service. Thank you for sharing the warm memories and stories about Robin.
Sending you all love and comfort as you celebrate her life yet mourn the loss of Robin’s lovely spirit on earth. She will always be with you.
it was a great honor to know and work with Robin all these years both at SPP and Ardmore. May God’s love give you peace.
Robin was a dear friend to us during her UNC college days and the years after. We lost touch over the past 10 years or so and we were devastated to hear the news of her passing, and her illness. We have the most amazing memories of her, was always so much fun, and such a loyal friend. Prayers to the whole family. I’m sorry we couldn’t make it today, we have covid. Thankful for the streaming of the service. She will be greatly missed.
Robin was the first neighbor to welcome me & my family to Ardmore. Her kind and generous heart made such a difference for me. My heart and prayers go out to her beloved family and friends. May Gods love bring peace and healing to ALL.
Fred and Cindy, I am so very sorry for your loss. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. May God wrap you in peace and may your family and friends be a source of warmth and comfort. May Robins favorite song – Three Little Birds (such a sweet and fun song) bring joy to the coming days and forever bring a smile to your heart.
Dear Fred, Cindy & Family,
Thank you for livestreaming the final service for Robin for people like us. Such a beautiful and happy family tribute to your daughter. The service was memorable.
We are sorry to hear about your covid. Get well soon.
Sincerely with love, Mickey & Kay
What a beautiful service and tribute to Robin. I will always cherish the years we spent and the memories we created together at SPP. I will miss her here on earth, but look forward to being together again in eternity. May the comfort of the Holy Spirt and the knowledge of Christ’s redemption help to give you peace.
