Ronnie Dean Mease “Little Buddy,” passed away on Sunday, October 27, 2019.
A native of Buncombe County, he was the son of the late Ed and Velda Warren Mease.
Mr. Mease retired in 2009 from Mission Hospital. He was a member of Rocky Face Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Crystal Dawn Mease.
Surviving are his wife, Shelia Mease; daughter, Tonya Smith (husband Andy); two grandsons, Dallas and Dawson Smith; and a brother, Gene Mease (wife Carolyn).
A memorial service for Mr. Mease will be held Sunday, November 3, at 6:00 p.m. at Rocky Face Baptist Church, 1635 Worley Cove Rd., Canton, NC 28716.
The family will receive friends following the service.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Rocky Face Baptist Church Mission.

Ronnie was a light in so many ways to our family. His smile and friendly attitude is what we consider special about Rocky Face. He always made us feel welcome and loved. We love you and are here for you during this time, may you find peace and comfort knowing we will see him again one day.

We are so sorry for your loss. What I remember most about Ronnie : he had a beautiful smile every time I saw him. It didn’t matter if he saw me or not that smile was there. He also loved his grandsons so much.

The Ronnie Mease Family. I am shocked, Ronnie always seemed so happy. For many years I have been blessed to have been friends with the Mease family. I will miss seeing Ronnie sitting on the front porch rocking and waving as I pass and also his great smile. May the Lord comfort you in your time of sorrow.

I can’t think of a single time, he did not greet us with that big smile. He was one of the truest, sweetest, kindest person either of us have ever met.

I’ll always remember driving by y’all’s place every day I lived across the street in coyle Smathers mobile home Park. Ronnie would always smile and wave had the honor of talking with him a few times considered him a good friend may God be with you in the family. You are in my prayers I pray for comfort for everyone.
