Roxie Keener Brinkley, 96, of Almond, NC, died on Friday, September 15, 2017, at her residence.
A native of Buncombe Co., Roxie was a daughter of the late Samuel and Artie Jones Keener. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Clifton Alvin Brinkley.
She is survived by her daughter, Martha DeHart; sister, Marilee Penland; six grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and 19 great-great-grandchildren.
Her family invites friends to gather with them at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday at Groce Funeral Home on Patton Ave. for songs, scripture and the sharing of memories of Mrs. Brinkley. Private interment will take place at Pisgah View Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, her family asks that memorials be made to Trinity Baptist Church, 216 Shelburne Rd., Asheville, NC 28806.

Martha I was out of town when you Mother passed and just now reading this. I am so proud that I knew her in the years past when she and Clif ran the grocery next door to our beauty shop. She was a great friend and I loved her dearly. May God’s comfort be with you and your family at this time.
