Ruby Lenora Cohn

Ruby Lenora Cohn of Greensboro, NC, formerly of Candler, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, March 2, 2015. She passed on peacefully while sleeping. Ruby was born July 13, 1922 in Buncombe County. After graduating from Cecil's Business College, she worked at the Buncombe County Department of Social Services until she retired. She was a lifelong member of Hominy Baptist Church and The American Business Women's Association. She was preceded in death by her parents, the Reverend Herbert (H.D.) Cohn and Dora Coates Cohn and her brother, Herbert Paige Cohn. She leaves behind her sister, Nila Cohn Peebles, her nieces Patsy Peebles Griffin, Beverly Peebles Horne, Marcia Cohn Gragg and her nephew Gary Cohn, as well as many grandnieces and nephews who will keep her loving memory. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Arthritis Foundation (www.arthritis.org). Groce Funeral Home on Patton Ave. is assisting the family.
