Russell Lee Norburn, Jr., 57, formerly of Asheville, died Saturday, June 5, 1999, in
Tallahassee, FL.

Mr. Norburn was a son of the late Dr. Russell Lee and Hope Robertson Norburn, Sr., and received his Masters Degree in Public Policy from Duke University.  He was the former owner of Miller and Norburn, Inc., a foreign car specialty shop in Durham, and more recently owned
Norburn Sailing and Water Sports in Charleston, SC.

He had lived in Tallahassee for a year where he worked as a teacher’s assistant at Pineview Elementary School.  He was a member of the Tallahassee Social Club and was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed sailing and hiking.

He is survived by two sons,  Robert Edward Norburn of
Tallahassee and Christopher Scott Norburn of Charlotte;  a brother, Clark Norburn Carneal of Asheville, and two grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 am Saturday, June 12, at the Cathedral of All Souls with burial to follow at Riverside Cemetery.  The Rev. James B. Craven, III will officiate.
