Ruth Sales Hawkins

Mrs. Hawkins was born in Buncombe County and was a daughter of the
late Elistus and Lura Duckett Creasman.  She was also preceded in death by her husbands, Clyde H. Sales and Merrimon Hawkins, a daughter, Marjory Sales Hensley, a sister, Nell Creasman Albright, a grandson and a great-grandson.  She was a member of Newfound Baptist Church.

She is survived by two daughters, Judy Ray and Helen Sharpe of Leicester;  a son, Clyde Jerrell Sales of Crawfordville, GA;  thirteen grandchildren;
fourteen great-grandchildren, and a great-great-grandchild.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 am Tuesday at Western Chapel United Methodist Church with the Rev. Ed Worley officiating.  Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Her family will receive friends from 7 - 8:30 pm Monday at Groce Funeral Home on Patton Avenue and at other times will be at the home of Judy Ray in
Leicester.

Mrs. Hawkins will remain at the funeral home until being taken to the church 30 minutes prior to the service.

Cemetery Fund.
