Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. I was the Director of Business Services for 6 years at Greentree Ridge where Sallie resided. She was a very precious lady to me at that time. Her daughters were very devoted and loved their precious Mother more than words could ever describe. I know there is a void today but a relief also that she is now in Heaven with her heavenly Father. No more pain or suffering. My deepest sympathy to her precious family who I hold dear to my heart.

  2. I am George Hoyles grandaughter in Waynesville. I used to take Aunt Sally to Asheville Civic Center to ‘wrestling’ IN THE LATE 60’S.I talked with her on phone occasionally and and had the opportunity to vist her at the Battery Park once. I loved her sense of humor and will always remember her. She informed and talked to me about my hertiage on many occasions. My sincere love and sympathey to you all.

  3. Harlena, I was distressed to read about your Mother in today’s paper. Regardless of age, health or any other circumstance we are never prepared to give up our parents. Please know we are thinking of you, Ed, Freda and the other members of your family. From your Mother’s picture I would say you looked like her.

  4. My sympathy and prayers go out to all of you. Aunt Sallie was a wonderful and beautiful lady and will be greatly missed by all of you. At the same time, there are many, many, wonderful memories for each of you to hold in your hearts forever. Much Love, Teresa Hooper, Lenora Hooper, and family.

  5. When my Dad (George Hoyle) died,Aunt Sally, and Uncle Harley, wanted to take me and my baby brother in their home. I was around 3 yrs old and my brother Sammy was 6mos.old. I can remember this.
Although this never took place, I can remember spending a lot of time in their home(fascinated with the stairs).
I thank my Lord for the gift of memory that even death cannot destroy.
My sincere sympathy to her family.Sara Hoyle Hunter

  6. My condolences to all family members. Mark May was my Great-great-great grandfather. Sarah Jane Jones May was my great-grandfather’s sister.
I was raised in Nantahala, NC. Sincerely; Rod Chastain
