Sandra Teresa Landis, 56, of Asheville, died on Friday, September 25, 2009, at Memorial Campus, Mission Hospitals.
A native of Buncombe Co., Mrs. Landis was a daughter of the late Harold Floyd and Kate Morgan Ponder.
Mrs. Landis is survived by her husband, John Edward Landis, Jr.; daughter, Katie Landis; son, Johnny Landis; and brothers, Terry Ponder and wife Kim, and Gene Ponder and wife Nancy.
A funeral service for Mrs. Landis will be at 4:00 p.m. Thursday at the Groce Funeral Home chapel on Patton Ave.
Her family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Iam sorry to hear about Sandra she will be miss she was a good persons we all love her our pryers go out to the family
John, Katie, Johnny, and family…I am sincerely sorry for your loss. Sandi was a very special person, and she will be greatly missed. My thoughts and prayers are with you during the coming days and weeks.
I am so sorry to hear about Sandra, I have known Sandra since we were kids. We use to run around together and play in the neighborhood. My prayers and thoughts are with all the family and I surely know she will be missed terribly. God has seen fit to place another angel in his home and now Sandra can look down on all of us. God bless all of her family and give them the strength they need in the coming days.
