Sara Miller Brookshire

Sara (Mama Sara) Miller Brookshire of 6 Sedgefield Drive, Candler, died Monday, December 28, 1998, in
an Asheville hospital.
Mrs. Brookshire was a native and lifelong resident of Buncombe County and was a daughter of Tindle and
Gertrude Smith Miller. She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Helen Lefler and Norma Mathis.
She is survived by two daughters, Claudette B. Warren and her husband Claude of Candler and Joan B.
Plemmons of Asheville; a son, Terry H. Brookshire and his wife Bebe of Statesville; six grandchildren, Teresa
W. Cordell, Tracy Plemmons, Tristen Plemmons, Kelly B. Williamson, Brooke B. Watson, and Britt Brookshire;
eight great-grandchildren, Travis and Monica Dalton, Lee Pegram, Cassie and Tyler Plemmons, Lauren Watson
and Jessi and Gentry Williamson; four sisters, Janette Davis, Geneva Stuman, Inez Davis and Barbara Gosnell; a
brother, S.W. “Bill” Miller; and a long-time family friend, Tom Breunig.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm Thursday at Oak Hill United Methodist Church with the Rev. Norman
Hubbard officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Her family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church and at other times will be at the
home of Claudette B. Warren, 45 Liberty Road, Candler.

You were a very bright spot in Cassie & Tyler’s lives. We will all miss you very much. The holidays are not going to be the same without you. We have alot of very good memories to cherish of you. We love you.
