Sara Williams Bryson

Sara Williams Bryson, 96, of Arden, died Tuesday, August 22, 2017 at the Oaks of Sweeten Creek. A native of Buncombe County, she was a daughter of the late Alfred and Mary Fortune Williams. Sara was also preceded in death by her husband, E. Boyd Bryson, who died in 1983; two daughters, Bettie O’Brien and Sara Jones as well as four brothers and two sisters. Sara was a life-long member of Biltmore United Methodist Church. She is survived by one daughter, Joan M. Davis (Sandy) of Taylors, SC; son-in-law, Bob Jones of Fletcher; three grandchildren, Christina Davis, Robert Davis (Jennifer) and Melissa Bennett as well as four great-grandchildren, Jessica, Joshua, Matthew and Emmy. A memorial service will be held at 6:30 PM on Wednesday, August 30, 2017 in the Chapel of Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian. The family will receive friends following the service until 8:00 PM Wednesday.
