Shirley Hummert Banks

Shirley June Hummert Banks, 83, of 405 Abbey Circle, Asheville, died Thursday, July 13, 2006, at St. Joseph Hospital. A native of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, she was a daughter of the late George and Adele Erika Hummert. She was a teacher prior to retirement. Survivors include her husband, Jack T. Banks; a daughter, Andy Hilley of Cape Cod, MA; a son, Richard Mumm of Asheville; a sister, Audrey Drummond of Boston, MA; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Services will be held at a later date. Groce Funeral Home on Patton Avenue is assisting the family.
