Mills River ~ Stephanie Ann Warren Tart, 55, died unexpectedly Thursday, August 9, 2012. Mrs. Tart was born in Dunn, NC to Clyde and Peggy Warren. She attended UNC at Chapel Hill and completed her B.S. degree from Mars Hill College. She obtained her certification as an X-Ray Tech through Mars Hill College and A-B Tech and worked at different local hospitals and later in her career became a medical consultant. She and her husband, James, have lived in the Henderson County area for 35 years. They currently reside in the High Vista Community in Mills River where she was a member of the High Vista Country Club. Mrs. Tart is survived by her parents Clyde and Peggy Warren; her husband, James; a son, Gavin Tart and a sister, Scarlett Warren Godwin of Raleigh; two nieces; one nephew and her special pets, Snuffles and Tarheel. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, August 13, 2012 at Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian on Long Shoals Road with Reverend Roy King officiating. The family will receive friends following the service In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 11454, Alexandria, Virginia 22312 or for Breast Cancer Research to the American Cancer Society, 120 Executive Park, Building 1, Asheville, NC 28801.
