Stephen Rial Mills, 18, of Asheville, died Monday, June 13, 2011. Born December 16, 1992 in Buncombe County, Stephen was a son of Gerald "Jerry" DeWitt Mills, Sr., and Rose Story Mills. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his brother, John David Mills, of Asheville; and two sisters, Melissa Anne Mills, of Portland, OR, and Mary Beth Clawson, of Fletcher. He was preceded in death by a brother, Gerald DeWitt Mills, Jr. A memorial service will be held Saturday at 2 pm at Arden Presbyterian Church with Revs. Chris Yates and Brian Russ officiating. The family will receive friends after the service at the church. Memorials may be made to Arden Presbyterian Church Missions Fund, 2215 Hendersonville Road, Arden, NC 28704, or to one's favorite charity. Groce Funeral Home, Tunnel Road, is assisting the Mills family.
