Susie Smith Grasty, 67, of Candler, died Friday, November 19, 2010. A native of Haywood County, she was a daughter of the late Troy Jones and Annebell Smith Jones. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Robbie Ann Grasty. Survivors include her husband, David Andrew Grasty; daughters, Pamela Hammond, Latrice Grasty Russell, Becky Putnam, Sandy Mull and Andrea Clifton; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. A graveside service for Mrs. Grasty will be at 4:00 p.m. on Monday at Oak Hill United Methodist Church Cemetery with the Reverend Wes Austin officiating. Groce Funeral Home on Patton Avenue is assisting the family. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Oak Hill United Methodist Church, 277 Oak Hill Rd., Candler, NC 28715.

  2. Uncle David and Girls, I am so sorry for your loss of Aunt Susie. You will be in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. We have not kept in touch over the years seems as we grow up we get our own lives as adults and go our seperate ways. I do remember coming over to visit as children and the fun times we had. God has added another beautiful Angel to his collection. Once again I am so sorry for your loss.

    i am so very sorry to learn of susie’s passing, she was such a fun loving person. i’ll always remember you and i going out on the week-ends in high school and taking ‘andy’ with us and your mom going over the drill as to what we needed to be doing, glad we’ve kept in touch all these years.please let us know if there is anything we can do.

I was married to Kenny from the Nashville Club if you remember that. When I saw your moma’s name I knew it sounded familiar but when I saw her picture you look exactly like her.
