Sylva Hawkins Beaver

Mrs. Beaver was born in Buncombe County and was a daughter of the late William Artamus Hawkins. She was retired after 27 years with Square D and she was a member of Corinth Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband, John Reece Beaver; two sons, Ronald and Donald Beaver of the home; her mother, Dixie Harris Hawkins of Leicester; one sister, Shelby Hawkins of Leicester; and three brothers, W. Ansell Hawkins of Swannanoa, Sherrill B. Hawkins of Asheville and Harold E. Hawkins of Hendersonville.

Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Monday in the Patton Avenue chapel of Groce Funeral Home with the Revs. Philip Dunlap and James Beaver officiating. Burial will be at Corinth Baptist Church Cemetery.

Her family will receive friends from 7 - 8:30 pm Sunday at the funeral home and at other times will be at the home of her mother, Dixie Virginia Harris Hawkins, 55 Dix Creek No. 1, Leicester.
