Sending you lots of love from Harrisonburg
As Chairman and on behalf of the Executive Board of the Henderson County Hunger Coalition we offer our sincere condolences to Bob’s family. We know he is in a better place where there is no pain or suffering. We enjoyed having him serve on the Executive Board for several years helping us raise money for food for those less fortunate. He will be greatly missed.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the entire Pond family.
I’m praying for you and your family. Out of this grief and darkness, may you find the peace your father has.
Karen and I were blessed to have Bob be part of our lives. From Anna Marie and John’s wedding to Emma’s christening. It was fabulous to have someone you know and love play such a big part in these special occasions. Karen and I will always remember the time we spent in Sugarland playing cards with Betty and Bob. Of course we will always remember the box of wine and the air mattress to announce the arrival of Betty and Bob at the Thomas Wynne apartments. The time at the Thomas Wynne afforded Karen and myself as well as my son to spend more time with Bob then we normally would have the chance. We are blessed for that fate of events that had the Ponds and Del Vescovo’s in the same apartment complex. Needless to say, our thoughts and prayers are without the entire Pond family. Karen and I will be extremely grateful that we had the opportunity to have Bob in our lives. We will miss him dearly.
Thinking of you all as you experience this transition for Dad and Granddad. The Usry-Kuttler Family send our love and prayers.
Sending lots of love from Charlottesville and Cape Charles. Thinking of you all.

I am so sorry for your loss! Please know that you are in my thoughts! Now you all have one more guardian angel to help you and guide you through life’s ups and downs. Never forget that he is always with you!
Dear Lallon,
May you be at peace in the passing of your dad. It must have been a very difficult year. Having walked a long journey with my sister who died of cancer many years ago, I know how difficult it is to watch one you love die slowly and painfully. May you be held in the power of loving energy sent your way.
Much love,
Dorothy
Thinking of you all.
I never met Mr.Pond but I consider his daughter, Susan, to be my best friend. She loves and adores her Dad so much. Talking with her about him over the past two years has not only healed my relationship with my own father but made me a better mother to my two children. I never met him but I knew him quite well through the person he left on this earth so well equipped to carry on his legacy of giving and teaching.
Bob,Ruth & I go back a lot of years-for Ruth since our marriage in ’50,& for me since our days in high school in ’39-43. We played basketball on the same team, golfed, and dated in the same group of fellows & gals.During WW2 we followed each others careers.Later, we shared each others hospitality in Orlando,Gerton,& Malone. We were privileged to be present at Bob’s ordination.I have loved him as if he was my brother & I will miss him dearly. Bob was a man of war & a man of peace. ‘To everything there is a season & a time to every purpose—;atime of war,and a time of peace.’ Sleep well, dear friend. We have the watch. All is well.
