Thelma Chambers Wright

Thelma Chambers Wright, 88, of 64 Richmond Hill Drive, Asheville, died Sunday, June 30, 2002, at a local nursing home. A native of Buncombe county, she was a daughter of the late Caney and Miner Allison Chambers. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Harold Sanford Wright, who died in 1985. She was a former employee of American Enka. Survivors include four daughters, Evelyn Taylor of Hendersonville, Leila (Lee) Lyle and her husband Don of Asheville, Irma Miller of Candler and Eileen Edwards and her husband C.W. of Weaverville; seven grandchildren, Pamela, Jimmy, Wanda, Sally, Nikki, Mandy and Callie; seven great-grandchildren, Autumn, Amber, Turner, Kingston, Sullivan, India and Cal. Graveside services will be 11:00 am Tuesday at Riverview United Methodist Church Cemetery with the Reverend Jackie Collins officiating. The family will receive friends 7:30-8:30 Monday at Groce Funeral Home on Patton Avenue.
