Thelma Sue Case

Thelma Sue Whiteside Case, 79, of Leicester, died on Monday, July 20, 2009. A native of Buncombe County, she was a daughter of the late Armour and Myrtle Casida Whiteside. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Earl Case, who died in 2004, and by her son, Loy Earl Case. Mrs. Case was a member of Bent Creek Baptist Church. She is survived by her daughter, Teri Webb, of Leicester; sister, Jean Angel, of Alexander; granddaughters, Laura Webb, of Leicester, and Karen Webb Laster and husband Jeremy, of Denver, CO; and great-grandson, Tanner Webb. A funeral service for Mrs. Case will be at 12:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery Chapel. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 120 Executive Park, Building 1, Asheville, NC 28801.
