Thomas Franklin Crook

Mr. Crook was born October 28, 1920, in Buncombe County, where he was a lifelong resident.  He was retired from American Enka Corp.

He is survived by his wife, Ruby Burrell Crook, with whom he celebrated their 50th anniversary April 9, 1999;  two sons, Mike Crook of Asheville and Roger Crook of Louisville, KY;  two grandchildren, April Crook of Asheville and Willie Crook of Louisville;  and five sisters, Lucille Rogers of Lake Junaluska, Helen Maxwell of Etowah, Shirley Guice of Leicester, Martha Huntley of Hendersonville, and Marie Gordon of Asheville.

Funeral services will be at 4:00 pm Sunday in the Patton Avenue chapel of Groce Funeral Home with the Rev. Ron Brown officiating.  Burial will be at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.

His family will receive friends from 7 - 8:30 pm Saturday at the funeral home.
