Limestone, TN ~ Timothy William “Tim” Presley, 37, of Limestone TN died on Thursday, December 22, 2005 at his residence. Mr. Presley was born in Asheville and grew up in Fairview community. He was a son of William “Bill” and Carolyn Wright Presley both of Fairview. He was preceded in death by grandparents Lehmon and Virginia Wright and Robert and Zona Presley. Mr. Presley lived in Limestone for the past 21 years and was co-owner of Meadow Dairy in Limestone TN. He was a member of Emma’s Grove Baptist Church and a graduate of A.C. Reynolds High School in 1986. He was a member of the Limestone Volunteer Fire Department and a supporter and participated in the Small Tractor Pull Association of the Limestone Ruritan Club. Surviving in addition to his parents: three sisters, Brenda and husband Bruce Tyree of Limestone, TN Patricia Worley of Dickson, TN and Diane and husband Joel Edwards of Mars Hill; a brother, Andy and wife Alesia Presley of Fairview; one nephew and six nieces, three great nieces and three great nephews. Graveside services will be held 2:00 pm Friday, December 30, 2005 at Emma’s Grove Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Stacy Harris and Rev. Steve Harris officiating. Pallbearers will be Mitch Lawhern, Mike Hagie, Ken Chandley, Doug Merrill, Ronnie Buckner and Richard Manley. Honorary pallbearers will be longtime friends from the Fairview community and the Limestone community. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm Thursday, December 29, 2005 at Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian on Long Shoals Road in Arden. Memorial donations may be made to the Bristol Chapter of Speedway Children’s Charities, P O Box 3966, Bristol, TN 37625.

  3. I’m thinking of Presley and I’m going to miss being able to ride with him during the summer.He would always let me ride with him chopping corn.He was a good friend of mine and I loved him and will miss him alot. 7 yr old son of Jamie & Melissa Aiken

  5. I met Tim in the early ’90’s when raising burley tobacco was a big part of what he, and many others, did for a living in this area. Tim remained a friend through the years of the decline of the tobacco and after tobacco production was no longer a part of our lives.

    Tim’s positive and easy way will be remembered by many for a long time. I will always remember Tim’s help during the years that we participated in the Greeneville Christmas Parade. Many times life is short. I am so glad that Tim’s short life crossed my path.
