Tom C. Kitchens

Tom C. Kitchens, 84, passed away Thursday, October 8, 2015 at the Elizabeth House in Hendersonville. Mr. Kitchens was born in Clay County to the late Gorman David Kitchens and Ethel Ashe Kitchens. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Barbara Phillips Kitchens of the home; daughter, Caroline Tackett of Edneyville; two grandchildren, Amber and Devin; two great grandchildren, TJ and Jack, and a very special cousin, David Ashe. Tom was also blessed with some amazing friends whom were considered family to him; Cameron Youngblood, Jabo Youngblood, Burt Ingram, and Calvin Banks. A visitation for Mr. Kitchens will be held Sunday, October 11, 2015 from 1:30 to 3:30 at Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian on Long Shoals Road. Burial will follow at Cane Creek Cemetery in Fairview.
