God shares with us people who help us grow in His Grace. He did this with Odell and Snooks, and with Odell’s Dad. They have been a true blessing in my life and I will always thank God for allowing them to be there.

Nancy, Jana and families, I am very sorry to hear of the death of your father. He and Snooks were good examples to me as I was growing up and I have many fond memories of cookouts and trips with Reed Memorial families. Gerald and I will remember them both fondly. Nancy, Jana and families, we are so sorry for your loss. Your dad was a member of the ‘Greatest Generation’ and was a credit to his country, community and family.
With your mother may they rest in peace, and live in your hearts and memories.
Sorry to read about Mr. Buckner passing away. The entire Oakley and Reed Memorial community feels the loss along with the family.
Growing up in Reed Memorial Mr. Buckner was a guiding light for all the kids in our age group. I can remember many Sunday School classes with him as the leader.
Even though I do not live in Asheville now, he never forgot who we were anytime we visited.
Our prayers are with the family and church on the loss of a true friend, mentor and Christian.
MY THOUGTS AND PRAYERS ARE WITH ALL OF YOU.
Dear Buckner Family,
Please accept my deepest sympathy in the loss of Odell. He will be missed.

Nancy & Jana, we’ve shared so many experiences thoughout our childhood and now we are sharing the lost of our fathers. Odell looked so good and seemed so healthy at Dad’s funeral. Hopefully this is a reminded that life is fleeting and we should always live it to the fullest and give thanks for those who have touched and influenced our lives. Your Dad was the best! Mike and I will hold you in our prayers. God’s peace to all.

Dear Nancy, Jana and families,
Please accept my deepest sympathy for the lost of your father and loved one.
When I was very young, I remember thinking that Odell was my uncle too!
May we all rejoice. For someday, we will reside together again in the Kingdom of the Lord.
The Lord bless you, and keep you,… and give you peace. Love.
I would like to express my sorrow in the passing of Odell. I worked with him for several years at NCDC. Odell was always kind and friendly. Our loss is Heaven’s gain.
