Trula Morgan

Mary Trula Morgan, 78, of 24 Poplar Acres Road, Candler, died Sunday, February 19, 2006, at Aston Park Health Care Center. Miss Morgan was born in Buncombe County and was a daughter of the late Parley and Anna Morgan. She was a graduate of Candler High School. She worked for the State of North Carolina for more than 40 years and operated the concession stand for the Services for the Blind at the Buncombe County Courthouse for many years. Miss Morgan was a member of Caleb Baptist Church and she loved gospel music and enjoyed singing at area nursing homes. Surviving are two sisters Thelma Johnson of Candler and Mildred Ridley of Cleveland, GA; a brother, Albert Morgan of Mills River, and many nieces and nephews including a special niece, Linda Harwood. A funeral service will be at 4:00 p.m. Tuesday in the Patton Avenue chapel of Groce Funeral Home with the Rev. David Gosnell officiating. Her family will receive friends at the funeral home following the service.
