Van Marion Wilson

Van Marion Wilson, 82, of Candler, passed away Tuesday, April 6 2021 at Fleshers Nursing Facility after a period of declining health.

Van was a native of Buncombe County, and was born to the late Olson M. and Martha Gwendolyn Cole Wilson. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Maribeth B. Wilson, and a brother, Charles R. Wilson.

Mr. Wilson was veteran of the US Army and was a member of Oak Hill UMC. Van was a long time truck driver with Fredrickson Truck Lines and retired from Conway Trucking.

Surviving is his sister, Cloria Ann Stroupe and husband Paul D. Stroupe; a brother, Edwin C. Wilson; a sister-in-law, Virginia G. Wilson; and several nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 17 2021 at Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church, 2312 Smoky Park Hwy, Candler, NC 28715.
