Dear Family,
We are all saddened by the news of Vaughn’s death, but we do not grieve as those who have no hope in the resurrection. We are the only faith who believes that God gives us back our loved ones. It’s not the ‘goodbyes,’ but the next ‘hello’s’ that we hold on to at this time in our lives! Love you, Dennis and Jeanne Setzer

Dear Patty and Family,
I guess you remember us from Glady Baptist Church. My mama, Christine Baker, took us to Glady all our lives and we still attend there. We were so blessed to have known Vaughn, you and your family back then. We are so very sorry to hear of his passing, but we know he is with the Lord and we will all see him again. He is probably praising God with my daddy, Jack Baker and my husband, David McMinn, who have gone on before us. We look forward to the day we see all of them again. May God bless and comfort you and your family. We will keep you in our prayers.
Love,
Sharon B. McMinn

My thoughts and prayers are with your family. I sold candy and knew Vaughn from calling on Morehead Company. After he retired I ran into him and Patty several times at the grocery store. He always had a twinkle in his eye and a smile on his face. He was a very kind & sweet man. My condolences to all of you.
Sharon & Jack,
I was sorry to hear about your dad. God comforts his children. We now live 5 minutes from White Rock Baptist. I regret I was not able to attend the service. Your friend, Dale Robinson, formerly of 61 Belmont Avenue, West Asheville

Dear Patty, Sharon and Family, My heart was so sad to hear of the passing of Mr. Vaughn. I remember coming to your house when Sharon and I were in the same grade at Pisgah Elementary. You and Mr. Vaughn always made me feel so welcome. I’ve always had a special place in my heart for your family. It’s been a blessing seeing you on our trips back to Candler and White Rock. Please know I care very deeply for your pain and loss. I will keep each of you in my prayers. Praise the Lord for His grace and mercy in that this is not the end and you are assured of being with your dear loved one throughout all eternity! In the meantime the pain is real and you will be held up in prayer. God bless you!
Praying For You,
Deborah (Greene) Berry
