Vernon J. Frady

He was a native of Buncombe
County and a son of the late Vernon H. and Lula Jones Frady.  He was also preceded in death by a brother, Joe Ray Frady and a sister, Ethel F.
Pack.  He was retired from the City of Asheville Parks Department and a veteran of World War II.

He is survived by his wife, Mildred L. Frady; three daughters, Geneva F. West, Linda F. Phillips
and Elizabeth A. Frady of Asheville; two sons, Jimmy R. Frady of LaMesa CA, and David D. Frady, Sr. of Fairview; three brothers, Mack Frady of Fletcher, Harley “Bud” Frady of Fairview, and Harvey Frady of Asheville; three sisters, Helen
Teague of Oakley, Betty Shipman of Maiden, NC and Mable Freeman of Thomasville, NC; nine grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

    Funeral services will be 1:30 pm Sunday in the Patton Avenue chapel of Groce Funeral Home with
the Reverend Homer Edwards officiating.  Burial will follow at Gashes Creek Baptist Church
cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 8:30 pm Saturday at the funeral home.
