A graveside service will be held on Saturday, April 2, 2011 at 11:00 am at Mt Zion Baptist Church in Arden with Reverend Cecil Robinson officiating.

Tucker, You will always have wonderful memories of your grandmother. Viola was a loving, friendly, interesting person and she will be missed greatly by her family and all who knew her. I feel fortunate to have known her and she will never be forgotten. She loved you and taught you many life skills that will be with you forever. Nellie McCarthy
I am sorry I could not attend your grandmother’s graveside services, but I have been down with a bad bug for more than a week and could not get out in the wind.
My mother (Betty Ledbetter Shuford) was a friend of your grandmother. My mother just passed away on March 19, 2011. Your grandmother would always ask about my mother whenever I went down to see Nellie’s father at Universal.
I will never forget you and Viola because you were the only one in my class who knew what a thimble was. When I asked you how you knew what a thimble was, you said your grandmother had shown or told you.
We are thinking of you and your family at this time of your loss.
