Virginia Bishop Reynolds

June 19, 1910 ~ June 8, 1999

Virginia Bishop Reynolds, 88, formerly of 71 Oakwood Street, Asheville, died Tuesday, June 8, 1999, in an Asheville hospital.

Mrs. Reynolds was born in Buncombe County and was a daughter of the late Lonnie and Rhoda Davis Bishop, Sr. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Lewis S. Reynolds, Sr., two sisters, Verna Geanminetti and Ada Harrison, and four brothers, Clarence, Austin, Charles, and Lonnie Bishop, Jr.

Mrs. Reynolds was a member of West Asheville Baptist Church.

She is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, Lewis S. and Jean Reynolds, Jr. of Leicester, Charles H. and Deana Reynolds of Arden, and John A. and Faye Reynolds of East Flat Rock; a sister, Martha Radford of Marble; two brothers, Norris Bishop and Clifford Lee Bishop, both of Arden; four grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and one great-great- grandchild.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm Thursday in the Patton Avenue chapel of Groce Funeral Home with the Rev. Ken Lewis and the Rev. Dr. Buddy Corbin officiating. Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery.

Her family will receive friends from 7 - 8:30 pm Wednesday at the funeral
home.
