Virginia Plemmons, 103, of Hendersonville, NC, passed away Wednesday, May 8, 2019.

A native of Henderson Co., Virginia was a daughter of the late Homer and Bessie Pace. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Gordon Plemmons, and by her sons, Larry and Jerry Plemmons.

Mrs. Plemmons worked for American Enka and retired as manager of The Charles Store. She was a former member of Grace Baptist Church.

She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Betty Plemmons; grandchildren, Sharon Plemmons, Michelle and Gary Carter, Lynn Morgan, Dean and Becky Plemmons, and Dale and Lisa Plemmons; numerous great and great-great grandchildren; and other family members.

Private family graveside services were held at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.

  5. Mamaw what a special lady you are. Obviously or you would not have been blessed with a 103+ years. I remember living with you and Papaw when we were little. What fun times we had. You life wasn’t easy but you always moved forward. You instilled that in your boys and grandchildren. Always listen to God and trust in His word. Even as a widow for 40 years you kept moving forward and trusting God. I sure hope there is a Hamricks in Heaven for you..😉 We love you so much and will miss you terribly but we are so happy for YOU. We know you are happy and whole. Thank you for the example you helped set for us to help make sure we are all together again one day. I’m sure you heard well done my faithful servant. I love you Mamaw. ❤

Thank you for helping instill the values that we cherish in life today. It was a sad day when you passed but a blessing that you was reunited with your sons for mother’s day.

  11. In honor of Virginia Plemmons my mother in law of 63 1/2 years. God let you live for 103 1/2 years. You and I made it through some very good times and some trying times. For example….wonderful times at church, going to beauty shops, going shopping, eating at J&S and just sharing life. Thank you for always being a big part of mine and Jerrys life and our children. I’m sure going to miss you but we will see eachother again one day soon. Heaven gained a dear soul. I love you.

  12. Mamaw we will miss you terribly but rejoice in knowing that you are reunited with your Heavenly Father and many loved ones! You were such an inspiration and an amazing woman!! Our family chain is broken and will never be the same until we meet again on the other side. We love you!!
