Three years later we become aware of Walt’s death. It represents how far and wide his unique persona and abilities touched so many.
My wife Lyn and I have spoken of him so often and wondered how he and Pat were getting by.
We are of course saddened by the news of Walt’s passing, yet our lives have been brightened many times in the memory of Walt and what he brought to every life he touched.
If Pat or anyone in the family reads this, I wish you comfort in the memory of how very special was your “Walt Smith”: a popular name but for an uncommon and unique soul.
