Wayne E. Jones

WAYNE E. JONES Wayne E. Jones, 60, of 180 Hannah Cove Rd., Canton, died Wednesday, November, 15, 2000 in a Asheville hospital. A native of Buncombe County, he was a son of the late James R. and Juanita Jones Freeman. He was a former truck driver, lumber grader and employee of Morgan Manufacturing. Mr. Jones was a musician playing the guitar especially playing gospel music. He was a graduate of Erwin High School and attended Landmark Missionary Baptist Church. He is survived by his sons, Jock Paul Jones of Russet Falls, IO, Joel Wayne Jones of Oklahoma; sister, Linda Lunsford of Leicester; brothers, James Freeman of Horseshoe, Ross Freeman of Leicester and Allen Freeman of Asheville. A memorial service will be 4:00 p.m. Saturday at Landmark Missionary Baptist Church, Swannanoa. Rev. Jason Bartlett will officiate. Private burial will be at a later date.
