Wayne E. Worley

Wayne E. Worley, 84, died Tuesday, July 21, 2015. Mr. Worley was born in Buncombe County and was a son of the late Lesley and Bonnie Bradburn Worley. He was also preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Helen Pressley Worley, a daughter, Rita Faye Worley, a sister, Betty Jo Worley, and a brother, Mack Worley. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War and worked as a self employed dump truck driver for 45 years. He is survived by two sons, Jamie Worley and Douglas Worley; grandchildren, Charla Ballard, Bonnie Worley, Travis Worley, Weston Norris, John Worley and Robyn Worley, and a number of great-grandchildren as well as many other family members and friends. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Friday at Groce Funeral Home on Patton Avenue. Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday at Redmon Baptist Church, 2675 Bear Creek Road, Marshall, with the Revs. Chris Wilmoth and Ray Roberts officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
