  1. Louise,
I am just hearing of Wayne’s passing and the first thought I had was that I didn’t visit him as I had intended to do. This is a reminder for me that life is so fragile and just as the Bible says, is like a vapor.

I know Wayne will be remembered by everyone as a kind, careing man, who loved life, family and friends. He was a true Christian and I thought the world of him.

I am so sorry that I didn’t know about his passing sooner. I would have attended the visitation and funeral. I fully believe that our God will give your family more than sufficient Grace to overcome this loss. May God Bless You.

    –Jacqui

  2. We are praying for and thinking of you, Aunt Louise, Jessica and Morris. Love, David and Mary

  3. Louise, Jessica, Morris and Family:

I remember the good times we have shared through the years. Our Son, Wayne, was named after your Wayne if you remember. That is a good name because they are both great guys.

May faith be your guide through this time of grieving and may it be your source of strength and the light of each tomorrow. May you find comfort in this prayer:

Please give us strength and courage, Lord, to bear what we must bear. Nudge us when our faith is weak to remind us you are there. Give us hope for our tomorrows, tell us life will go on. Show us, Lord, that all this darkness will be followed by dawn. You have led us through many things, you’ve pulled us through before. Hold us up, Lord, till we’re through this one and we are strong once more.Amen

My love, prayers, and God’s blessings to all the family,

  4. Louise, Jessica, Morris and family,

  6. I am Mary Ann and Edwin Bailey’s daughter. Wanted the family to know each of you are in my thoughts and prayers. I live in Charlotte and read the Asheville Citizen Times on line. I saw where Mr. Gosnell had passed away. He was in Mother and Daddy’s wedding, March 23, 1951. I will always remember him taking care of Hominy Baptist Church. I can remember him moving the grass and keeping the church clean. Please take care.

  10. Louise, Jessica, Morris, Eric & Michelle and families,

Pat and I want to express our sympathy in your loss. Through the 23 years I served as Pastor of Hominy Baptist Church, as well as long before I arrived, and after I retired, Wayne Gosnell was a tremendous contributor to the life and ministry of that church. His work in maintaining the church’s facilities through many years was exceptional, as well as his ministry as a Deacon, and his early years’ work with the youth and their ball teams left lasting value to the lives he touched. His community service through the Lion’s Club was typical of his spirit of service. We know you will miss him greatly. God bless all of you.

  11. Dear Louise, Jessica, Eric and Michelle,

Your family has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember and even before. When Michelle and I walked home from school each day it was to find Wayne working hard in service to Hominy. I am thankful for both the memories and the continuing legacy of your entire family.

    May God Bless,

    Lee and Cindi (Halyburton) Thompson
    Rachel, Matthew, and Ian

  12. Dearest Louise, Jessica and Morris,
We were traveling for the past two weeks as were not able to be around for the memorials for our friend Wayne. This is a reminder of how tenuous is life. We were shocked at this news because I last saw Wayne at Lions Club as I was helping the Eastern Star serve dinner. Wayne was a kind, giving, compassionate and faithful member of our community and will be sorely missed. May God bless you all in the days ahead. According to God’s word, He is now blessing Wayne with Heaven.
    Lots of Love and Prayer,
    Wilb & Mary
